25 years from now after all of the movie theaters have converted over to 5.1 and every Altec VOT has been gutted and sold for parts, my lowly A7’s will be worth $25,000 the pair. Just look at what has happened to all of the old muscle and pony cars from the '70's after they were all consumed to supply the local short track racing scene or the Dukes of Hazard TV show, a fair condition pony car in need of restoration goes for $20,000 plus (I think).

Would be nice to think one buyer would purchase the whole "lot" and re-assemble the speaker but things rarely work out that way Unfortunately that speaker is probably another piece of Altec history gone forever unless whoever buys the cab also finds/buys some original drivers/crossover for it. Sometimes posts like these make me feel like I know what it's like to be a vulture--watching things die.....
